# Connect Ligura to Claude

> Add Ligura to Claude as a custom connector so Claude can save and find your work.

Connect Ligura to Claude once, and Claude can save useful results to your Works and read them back in later conversations. This guide covers Claude on the web and in the Claude apps.

## Before you start

* A Ligura account. [Start free](https://app.getligura.com/register) if you don't have one.
* A Claude account that allows custom connectors. Availability depends on your Claude plan and settings.
* In a Claude Team or Enterprise organization, an owner must add the connector for the organization first. If Ligura is already listed for your organization, skip to step 4.

## 1. Copy your connection address

Ligura's connection address is:

```
https://connect.getligura.com/mcp
```

It is the remote MCP server address Claude uses to reach Ligura. You can also copy it from [Ligura](https://app.getligura.com/): go to **Connections** and choose **Claude**.

## 2. Add Ligura as a custom connector

1. In Claude, open **Settings**. Under **Customize**, choose **Connectors**.
2. Choose **Add**, then **Add custom connector**.

3. Enter **Ligura** as the name.
4. Paste the connection address into the server address field and choose **Continue**.

5. If Claude shows sign-in options, keep **Sign in now** and **Register automatically** selected. You don't need an OAuth client ID, client secret, or request headers.

## 3. Sign in and approve access

Choose **Add**, then **Connect**. If your organization has already added Ligura, select it in **Connectors** and choose **Connect**. Claude opens Ligura's sign-in page. Sign in with your email link or code, then review the access request before approving it.

## 4. Turn on Ligura in a conversation

In a conversation, choose **+**, then **Connectors**, and turn on **Ligura**.

![The + menu in a Claude conversation, with Connectors selected and the Ligura switch turned on](https://mintcdn.com/ligura/TBeq3sbIF9wW97zO/assets/screenshots/claude-enable-in-conversation.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=TBeq3sbIF9wW97zO\&q=85\&s=24ef7662fccc8b5939b722f6c85d82fd)

Then try:

> Use Ligura to list my Works.

If Claude shows your Works, or tells you that you don't have any yet, the connection is working. Next, [save something worth keeping](/docs/continue-your-work.md).

## If something doesn't work

| What you notice | What to try |
| - | - |
| You can't find **Add custom connector** | Your plan or organization may not allow custom connectors. Ask your Claude organization owner, or check Anthropic's [custom connector guide](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp). |
| Claude can't reach Ligura | Check that the address is exactly `https://connect.getligura.com/mcp`, with no spaces or extra characters. |
| Sign-in finishes but Claude has no Ligura tools | Make sure Ligura is turned on in the conversation's **Connectors** menu. |
| Claude can't find a Work | Confirm the Work name and the Workspace, and check that your account can access it. |

Claude's menus change from time to time, so labels may differ slightly from this guide. If you are stuck, contact [support@getligura.com](mailto:support@getligura.com) and tell us which step you reached.

## Your work and Claude

Claude can read or change saved work only through the access you approve. Content Claude retrieves is then handled under Anthropic's terms and privacy policy. To stop future access, disconnect Claude from **Connections** in Ligura. Signing out of Ligura does not disconnect it. Read our [Privacy Policy](https://getligura.com/privacy/) for details.

Ligura is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic.
